For Public Sector Banks a degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government is required.

The next criteria are computer literacy. This is not necessary in all the banks insist that the candidate should posses working knowledge of computers before joining the bank and few banks also mention that the desired computer skills should be acquired within six months of joining the bank.
